What were they thinking? I believe their intentions were good, but they sure messed up! I hope it has a good ending.

The 10 Americans from Idaho who have been held in Haiti jail were charged Thursday with criminal abduction for trying to take 33 Haitian children out of the country. The charges carry a prison term of up to 15 years.

Thursday?s after prosecutors questioned the Americans in a closed-door hearing, they were led from the courthouse back to the jail, and did not speak to reporters.

Laura Silsby, an apparent leader of the group and helped organize the trip to Haiti, said before the hearing: ?We?re just trusting God for a positive outcome.? The group of Americans stated that they were trying to get orphaned children out of the country in order to help them after Haiti suffered a massive earthquake several weeks ago.

I THINK THEY DIDNT DOT ALL THE EYES AND CROSS THE T'S. SO MAYBE WE SHOULD JUST LEAVE THE COUNTRY BECAUSE IM SURE OUR GOV. DIDNT CROSS ALL THE EYES EITHER AND THE T'S

When your dealing with children, you better cross the T's, dot the eyes. I don't care if they believe it was Gods mission to do what they did. Just plain stupidity.

They can trust in God, but, they better get some damn good lawyers also.

What I understand the law dont work to fast over there.

Any one seen locked up abroad? I hope this turns out o.k. for them but, this may be a future episode.

leave it in God's hand and enjoy the next 15 years of their life. At what point would you think that would be alright. I guess I don't get it sometimes.

As much as I would like to adopt a couple homeless kids, I can't help but think these kids would have gotten brainwashed by RWJs. Anytime you throw a group of church go'ers in the mix I can't help but think they're a little nutty.

Apparently I've run into some self-righteous, home schooled, brain-washed righty's in my day.

I watched Anderson Cooper tonight. Hmmmmm. I have to question Laura Silsby's motive now. I hope it's not as bad as it sounds. It will be interesting to follow.

The whole deal smells alot like recruiting children to mold into more religious fanatics.

I hope they burn them at the stake.

Some of the kids insisted that they weren't orphans, but they took them anyway.

Jim Jones would be proud!
