Here's my 28" ram from last year. My guess would be around 25". That's just a guess though, they're tough as Mozey stated.

I went out scouting yesterday with NMPaul and Zach and we came across this guy. We got to within 50 yds of him. Zach said he could have shot him with his bow. I think he's right.--Kevin :-)

Dan, They notice the camera hanging on the tree, but it doesn't seem to bother them. I was concerned about the flash too, but that hasn't scared them either.

Dan, I have the Moultrie D-40. It works fine, but the elk seem to notice it as you'll see below. Pics from this week.--Kevin

+1 Don't buy the trigger stick. I have one and it sucks. You need something with more stability. Invest in a decent tripod and take a buddy to carry it for you. Good luck.--Kevin
