It’s been kinda meh, they bugle for about an hour or two in the morning then don’t start up again till right before dark. Bulls respond to calls but don’t really get fired up. Still seeing big bulls solo ignoring cows. Some are with cows but don’t seem to be rutting really hard.

It’s been amazing, my dad has an early archery bull tag. We’ve been all over the unit. Beautiful country so big we haven’t even seen a fraction of it.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think after talking to a lot of experienced people I’ll stick with going for the late hunts and hope I catch up someday. Meanwhile I’ll try and hone my mule deer hunting skills In other states so when the time comes I’ll be ready! Thanks again guys
