Yeah we won but it was not an overwhelming red tide. There are still lots of voting eligible people that better start getting out there and vote. I promise you the left is out there plotting now.

Of all the things Trump can do, putting Elon in charge of getting our government to be efficient will be the biggest game changer. I don't think he can get $2T a year out, but $1T seems possible. Over a decade- that'd be $10T that our kids and grandkids won't be in debt for.

Go Trump.

This would be a most welcome effort. Take a monster chainsaw to every govt. agency. Claw back a bunch of that unspent money for the green new deal, inflation creation act, infrastructure bill & the American rescue act. If he doesn't end the FED at least get rid of the modern monetary theory nonsense and start using supply side economics again. Take that $80 billion for 87k new IRS agents and give it back to the taxpayers. The list is long

Ya, if all you did was cut funds, it would be a disaster. But that's the dumb approach. You actually change the way things are done- more efficiently. I can name 20 ways they can do that. Hell, the cost of the employees in the Fed is nowhere near the biggest issue. It's getting them to DO things. It's getting them not to spend 5 years doing what industry can do in 1 year. No exaggeration there.

The big costs are contracts. The government spends so much money trying not to get ripped off, well, they get ripped off.

As the efficiency improves- you need less money to get things done. Costs come down.
 
Reduce the red tape that inherently comes with federal agencies, you get task completed, create efficiencies, and lower cost all around. They have made a business out of checking boxes and mandating complexed analysis that is not logical. The federal agencies I work with have so many boxes to check and the level of analysis required to check those boxes are mind blowing. We've regulated ourselves into an expensive corner where we have a harder time marketing ourselves. They need to deregulate and remove the ability of unelected people from imposing rules and guidelines. These people are encouraged & allowed to make policy that govern our nation. Thought that was congresses job...

Agreed. If we had the same red tape 100 or even 50 yearrs ago, we'd still be 3rd world country. Can you imagine trying to build the interstate system these days?!
 
Who cares what the unelected burrocrat swamp thinks. He's gonna have the senate & house for 2 years. He didn't drain the swamp so good the 1st time, let's hope he learned a few things. The fact that he's going to enable folks like Elon & crew to take up the "trim the fat" task is at least a promising step in the right direction. I think he's gonna have a much harder time deporting illegals than cutting govt. waste. Republicans will probably scream as loud as anyone on the hill when they start crying about separating families etc.

Honestly it’s that type of stuff that I’m sure many people thought of that didn’t sit well with them and changed there vote last minute. I’d love to see that poll.

I would be happy to just get the border sealed and get rid of the criminals and any other that is here for a free ride. The rest need to be vetted.

A lot different, you are right.

Nonetheless, if you don't try you surely cannot achieve. Elon has done more than streamline Twitter. Space X, although not perfect, achieved 10X more per dollar than NASA ever could. Just another example.

I'll hold out hope he joins Trump and gets half of what he thinks he can.
