Hello,
My buddy and I are looking for some recommendations on a good outfitter for the '25 season. We have 11 points so we are open to look at some different areas. I know that the western side has had quite a bit of winter kill happen to the herd. We are open to looking at different areas. Our first inclination when we started collecting points was to be in G/H. We have come to the realization that the herd there is going to take some time to recover. We are open to some different options and would like to hear some feedback from people who have hunted with outfitters and hear about your experiences and the area you hunted. We do not want to do a hunt from a hotel, we are looking for a lodge or camp hunt. Not that there is anything wrong with that type of hunt but looking for the western experience. I have done both hunts and have been successful with both types, just looking for the camp comradery. We are looking at trying not to spend more than 7,000.00 on the hunt. We would like to have a shot at 160-180 class animals. We have both hunted out west but neither of us have been to Wyoming before. I have taken some nice bucks in Montana, both whitetail and mule deer. My buddy has killed several whitetails but not a muley. My Montana buck is a 164" and I would like to try for something a little bigger than him. We are both looking for a good time and having a great adventure. Thanks for the input.
