First buck

Took my ten year old son out for the first hunt of his own. It was an experience I’ll never forget! He did better than I expected and had even more fun than I thought he would. Someone had made a post about tips for taking a kid hunting and some of the tips were spot on. I think his own pair of “decent” optics was the biggest thing!

Great for the son and kudos to you for taking him . My Dad took me Elk huntung when I was 14. I shot a 6x6. Was the best ! My first muleys was a Doe. I was 12. My son got a 2x3 with ne when he was 14.

Great job young man. You should be proud. That’s a better buck than my first buck. My favorite memories of hunting are with my boy. He’s a freshman in college now. I’m on the road heading to trout fishing with him in Montana currently. Enjoy it dad. It doesn’t get any better than the next 5 years.

I sure remember my son's first buck it was a big deal he was so proud that he got one and I didn't
We have been hunting together all his life went again this year for two weeks he is 47 now
Father son hunts are the best bar none
