Anyone here ever euro a bear skull?
Gonna attempt to degrease with acetone for a couple weeks. Looking for some previous experience from you guys. I've only done big game skulls, never a Bear. Is it needed to degrease or is it a waste of time?

I’ve done several bear skulls. You’ll definitely need to degrease. I simmer in hydrogen peroxide first to whiten and degrease and then soak in acetone if needed.

I use Dawn dishwashing liquid on my deer skulls when simmering.

+1 on the acetone soak. It will help pull the latent grease that the peroxide couldn't get out.

Industrial strength ammonia works good also. Toss it in cover container and forget about it for a month. Bears and pigs seem to take extra work.
