Unit 2A Youth Hunt

Just got back from scouting 2A for my son's deer hunt next weekend. We didn't see much this weekend besides some does. Does anyone have any info they are willing to share? This is my son's first big game hunt. I am willing to trade info for unit 2b, and 36.

I don’t know anything about 2A, but you might reach out to a butcher, taxidermist, biologist or even a fly fishing shop in the area. Someone should give a tip or two to check out! Good luck, hope to hear some success and a photo or two here soon!!

Thanks I will see if I can get a hold of any that will be willing to give out some tips. I will definitely post an update after the hunt!

There’s a very small road up Long Glade Canyon!
Been successful there in the past. Short drive up to a well pad but keep looking at the north and south canyon slopes!

Good luck 2A has been rough for me and my son this year, can only find doe

Update: We got in the unit friday hunted hard till tonight. We seen elk turkey and about 50 does. We did see one buck but only had one antler with no fork. Leaving early so my son can go to practice for his playoff game this Friday. Thank you to everyone that gave us some pointers they all definitely helped get us in the area of deer. On to his Valle Vidal cow hunt on the 2nd of November. Hopefully we have better luck!

No this Is the first time my son drew cow elk on the 2nd and then I drew cow elk on the 16. We did go scout this summer and seen some elk so hopefully there still in there
