What is the "going" rate for a bull tag in 5A?

I have a cousin who may be looking to purchase a landowner MB landowner tag in unit 5A (DIY hunt). What price range is to be expected for such a tag (low range/high range)? He just wants to make sure he doesn't overpay since this area does not have many quality bulls.

Handful of variables…unit wide or ranch only? If unit wide, not much public land in 5A. If ranch only, how big is the ranch? Number of elk around? I have never bought a LO tag but my guess would be somewhere in the $3-7k range?

I haven’t seen a bull tag sell for under 8k in any unit. I would think it would be somewhere close to that

I got more details on the tag he is looking at. It is ranch only tag and the ranch is a section (640acres).
