My son and I had a great weekend together getting his first bull. One shot from my .300 NMI shooting 245 grain bergers at 2885 fps. If Hunter laid down he couldn’t see the bull so a standing shot was all he had. At 480 yards standing with my tripod he made a perfect shot. The bull didn’t even take a step. With my kids moving out on their own, the scene of my son standing over his bull with a grin ear to ear, and the sun lighting up the peaks behind us I couldn’t help the tears. Chalk this day up as a life highlight.

Congrats to your son- nice bull! Seems like llamas are getting more popular every year. I can see the reason as far as getting guys deep in the back country, but I am partial to good horses, I can ride and not have to hike as much 😂

Congrats and great bull. Those LLamas sure are nice. After my NV wilderness trip this year and killing a bull 8 miles from the truck I sure can appreciate how useful they would be for a pack out.

Best experiences ever with family and mentoring your children. Nice work Dad. BTW, great bull. Believe me, it won’t be long before he is guiding you around.

No but I think my friend got a couple of his llamas from him.
He's a good dude. Grew up a few miles apart. Llamas seem like a game changer going in a few miles. Again congrats that's going to be a hard one to beat for your son!
