Thanks!I’d probably talk to Jim Gowans. His # is 435-882-2120.
Are you interested in a landowner permit this year?I’ve been told there’s a handful of landowner deer tags given out for the Vernon every year that in turn get sold. I’m interested in looking into those tags. Does anyone know anyone or have any details they could share? Thanks in advance!

Really? Like $3-$5k tops. Maybe 10k+ for a guided hunt hit me up. I work for a landowner and have found some really good deer in the past. That being said it isn’t what it once was. There are still a few big ones around tho.All reasonable offers will be considered - but looking for $10k. They have been going for $11k-$12k.
If you have access to 3-5k LO tags on the Vernon I’ll buy 2 right now. lol . 10k is a good deal on those tags right now, actually a really good deal. Unguided.Really? Like $3-$5k tops. That would have to include a good used 4x4 for it to be a good deal for meIf you have access to 3-5k LO tags on the Vernon I’ll buy 2 right now. lol . 10k is a good deal on those tags right now, actually a really good deal. Unguided.
Or a happy ending? That would have to include a good used 4x4 for it to be a good deal for me
If you can let me know where you can find a good used 4x4 for 10K without a deer tag I'd love to know more about that too!!!That would have to include a good used 4x4 for it to be a good deal for me
$10,000 for a Vernon tag is ridiculous, it may be a L.E. unit but as far as limited entry units go the Vernon is sucking hind teat. If you think that’s a good deal and if you can’t find a good, used reliable 4x4 for ten grand then you are either really bad with money, incompetent or both.If you can let me know where you can find a good used 4x4 for 10K without a deer tag I'd love to know more about that too!!!
10K for a LE unit tag now days is unfortunately a really good deal when you look at the cost on the Pauns or Oak Creek or Henrys tags that are available for purchase. You could also throw in CO or NM LO tags or Sonora....Big mule deer are expensive these days,

I guess if you say so. I am sure you have lots more insight on that unit and the current cost for mule deer hunts and tags across the country than I do.$10,000 for a Vernon tag is ridiculous, it may be a L.E. unit but as far as limited entry units go the Vernon is sucking hind teat. Yes I do say so and I will agree to agree with you that I have lots more insight on the current cost for mule deer hunts and tags across the country. I will point out that you won't find mule deer hunts and tags across the country, mostly just the western states. I only mention this as proof that I do indeed have more insight than you As for the Vernon you probably do have more insight on that unit than I do because I don't waste my time on that scrubby hind teat sucking L.E. unit. Honestly there is no reason for me to go there when I have better deer not only across the street but in my front yard as well.I guess if you say so. I am also in the market for a 10K reliable 4 wheel drive truck, If you could shoot me some links I would appreciate it.
When did an Oak Creek tag sell for $100k? The most I recall was $90 and that was a couple years ago. I believe they were around 70 this year. I live in Oak City and love to watch and photograph the deer, especially in a couple weeks from now when they start getting frisky but if I’m paying six figures for a hunt it is going to be towards a big five safari in Africa or at least lion and big elephant.Dead,
Thanks for extensive explanation of your views.
Market value without question can be dictated by personal belief or view . Currently 10k for the caliber of bucks you’d be chasing on Vernon would be a better value than buying an Oak Creek tag for 100k…but that’s my view. Overall within the selling and buying of mule deer tags, 10k is a “pretty good deal” As far as the 4x4 sounds like a great truck …I think I’ll pass on pounding a F350 flatbed around the hills.
I believe they had one or two that jumped to the 100k last year, but I may be mistaken. They did drop some this year due to the economy and the fact that 2023 was a down year for Oak Creek. When did an Oak Creek tag sell for $100k?
