It looks to be a good year now. Sure trying to hit the buy button on a Clearwater trip but wish I still had my own boat. Getting fish on my own is the satisfaction.
Try adding a swift river to a big running Steelie. Hard to stop them.I’ve fished the Great Lakes for steelies several times over the years. They have several different varieties of steelies. Some run in the spring and others in the fall. You want to talk about a silver bullet…they run and do amazing acrobatics! They are one of my favorite fish species!View attachment 160108
I've heard that it is good fishing there. I've caught 6 in a day but usually 2 or 3 on good days. I've heard of how good Erie is. Wow..Used to catch a metric $hit ton of them in the tiny tributary creeks that feed into Lake Erie.
That is insane !If you know where and when to go, you can catch 50 in a day in the tributaries in Lake Erie. I’m not talking about going to the “famous” Elk and Walnut Creek’s either…,lol
