East Canyon-Morgan-Summit Moose

Follow up to my post from August. I had a gentleman reach out to me last week. He had drawn a moose tag with 28 points for our unit.
He mentored the tag to his teenage daughter and was looking for a place to hunt.
Without a doubt this was a perfect opportunity that aligned with our values.
What an amazing family and the smiles on there faces and the lifetime of memories speaks volumes.
Happy to be part of this amazing hunt.
Please pay it forward. The hunting community needs it🇺🇸

@Wapitiwilly you are a true gentleman, that is so awesome of you to do this!!! Congrats to all involved...

Hello, I'm posting this from my son's account (I need to set one up for myself). I'm the Dad of the girl that shot this moose. Funny looking back now on how this all started with my son showing me this post and saying we should reach out to them... me saying there's no way this could be legit, somebody offering to do something like this... nobody does this kind of thing these days. A short phone call later with Wapitiwilly and I couldn't believe how this could be true.
This was such incredible experience with absolutely amazing new friends!!! Don't know how to even begin to put into words how appreciative we are for all Wapitiwilly and his family did for us! Wapitiwilly and his son's and their families are incredible! It was like we were spending time with friends we had since birth.
There is so much we can all learn from Wapitiwilly and his family, their generosity and kindness is beyond words!
I hope you all have a great fall and are able to create some memories with family and friends!
Here's a picture of Wapitiwilly's son and grandkids.

WOW, what a generous thing to do.

Thank you, many times over!

I can’t begin to express my appreciation for what you did for this young lady and her family. And the fact that you posted the offer on Monster Muley is even more amazing. Do you know if they saw your offer here or did you share it elsewhere as well, not that it makes any difference. I just think you’re a great person.

Folks………. that’s two wonderful acts of kindness we’ve heard about this week. This moose hunt and the sale of the sheep by the Shumway girl in Monticello.

Let’s keep posting these great acts of kindness and generosity for a while………. we all see and hear about them and we all need to know how great our society and people are right now.

When you see some thing……….. say something!

Thanks again WW.

Lumpy,
This was the only place I posted. I have had the opportunity to meet amazing people on MM over the years.

Good on you for doing this!
I recognize this family from a week spent at the same fishing lodge as them last summer in Alaska. Small world.
If I remember right, this dad mentored a big bull tag to one of his kids last year. Seems like a pretty good dad.

That's a super nice Shirahs bull! The story behind it is even better. A lot of good karma in that story from a group of people who are as serious about hunting as they are about doing things right.

WapitiWilly you’re clearly a class act and it’s so refreshing to see something positive happen in the hunting community.

Thanks for being a great example to us all. What a great story and bull!
