Always trying to add a new green veggie to the every day life. I've tried sprouts so many times ... usually in the oven. Anyway, I finally got 'em right.
Three thick pieces of bacon cut up. Cook until crispy and remove. Cut sprouts into quarters and remove loose leaves afterwards. Cut up half a red onion to similar size pieces.
In the hot bacon fat add sprouts and onion. On medium heat keep stirring every few minutes until very brown/seared. Add bacon back and stir another minute or so. As Skillet cools a bit add balsamic vinegar...maybe 1/3 cup.
Best I've been able to make after 20+ times in the oven.
