I had a very similar incident with a raccoon in a trash can in Texas. I hit that sucker as hard as I could swing. It flattened him, and then he shook it off and started chasing me while I screamed like a little girl.I tried to kill a raccoon that had a foot in a jaw trap once. Wacked him in the head as hard as I could with the edge. He yanked his foot out of the trap and chased me back to the truck. I hadn’t imagined myself running from an angry raccoon previously, bought a Ruger Standard .22 shortly after that.
My first stitches were from a hoe too. Gardening hoe to be more specific! My oldest’s first stitches were in his head and from a hoe. Little brother was apparently trying to chop his head off.
