Anyone had any real world side by side comparisons yet? I looked through a pair of the 14's and like how light they are compared to my 15's but I didn't really compare the 2 like I should have then.

If strictly speaking about quality, there is not a debate. It's the pures.

But, they are pricey beasts! And the SLCs are pretty good.

I’ve looked through them side by side as well as with my 12’s. I honestly liked the image in the 15’s better. The pures have the edge on weight and handling, however they are NOT hand hold able. If I had to choose one pair, it would be the 12’s, far and away. If I needed a higher magnification set and weight and size isn’t an issue (non backpacking hunts) the 15’s are still my go to. Honestly not sure what I’ll do with the 14’s yet. Maybe sell em!

The NL's are really marketed to bird watchers, color resolution is their claim to fame. great glass no question, but for a hunter I don't see where the NL does anything my EL's won't do for me.

The SLC's are great too, you can't go wrong with any of them its's just a matter of size, weight and budget.

I bought a pair of NLs with an agreement with my son that he or I would take them and the other gets my 12x50 ELs. I assumed the NLs would knock my socks off from what I heard. No dice. I see much better out of my ELs and son got the NLs as he retired his old Leicas.
