Am I missing something with the nebo? Backpacked high and low searching for deer. I’ve literally seen more spike elk than all mule deer combined.

That is because those pesky elk are running the deer out of the best habitat and a significant factor in the mule deer decline. One man’s opinion.

What the biologists claim is on the unit compared to reality are on 2 different ends of the spectrum. There are deer, but not anywhere close to the numbers published

The nebo is a terrible unit and you shouldn't hunt it.....

In all reality it can be a brutal hunt but I've also seen better deer this year than I have in a while.

I haven’t spent a ton of time this year on the nebo. But in the 2 days I spent out there on the muzzy hunt, I struggled to find very many deer.

All the biggest bucks on the Nebo were killed in Nephi canyon in March.
