Pro tip

Are you sending out a hint hint for someone in particular? I don’t think you need to feed them every meal every day. It’s well understood between me and my hunting partner no matter who has the tag we feed ourselves and share. No tit for tat penny pinching.

Here's a simple Pro tip if you have buddies helping you on a hunt. You provide all the food. Not junk take care of your guests he's not getting paid he's not asking for gas but feed him and feed him well.
It would seem like the gentleman’s thing to do.

If they bring food and offer it for meals I’d never turn them down but if they are there to help, I’d do my best to make sure they ate well.

Not always, but usually friends that join our hunts, will just bring food, because they want to, but if they ask I/we always tell them I/we have the food covered. The camp meals are generally a good part of a good camp/hunt.

I have a good friend that doesn’t want to loose valuable sleep preparing meals. I’ve seen him open a can of ravioli and eat it cold, and he’s off to sleep before I have the potatoes peeled. 😁 He’s behavior represents a commitment to the hunt, not to the boiling water or the skillet. Can’t fault him for that.

Good pro tip deerlove!
I once had an acquaintance who drew a Book Cliffs tag. He was super worried and stressed because no one would go with him and he had never been there before. I told him if he fed me well, I would take off work and help him from Friday through Wednesday. He was super excited and said “oh we will eat really really good.” Dinners were things like Ramen noodles, mac & cheese, and frozen Lynn Wilson burritos wrapped in tinfoil. 🙁

He is a great friend. Committed to help you succeed. Rarer than it used to be. And you are a good man to realize that.
