Stock barrel or faster twist aftermarket barrel?
I run Green Mtn. Barrels on both my Hawkins and Renegades. Both .50 & .45 calibers.
I like the No Excuse bullets pushed with Pyrodex P.

I really wish someone would take over making barrels for these guns like Green Mtn. use to.

I have a Green Mtn. Long Range Hunter 1:28 twist on my .50 Hawken and it shoots round balls better than the stock 1:48
barrel.

I would think the No Excuse would fly well. You just need to find the right size your gun likes.

I shot barnes expander mz outa my .54. They shot great. Not sure what they have for a .50?
