Damascus steel drop point hunter with 4 inch blade. The damascus steel is made from 1095 high carbon steel with 15N20 nickel steel. Heat treated to 58-60 RC. Twist pattern. MountainSqwab, I do not make the damascus. I buy the damascus billets from a certain dealer that sells using quality steels, 1095 & 15N20 in their billets. My wife did not want me making knives by using a forge for fear i would burn the shop & house down. I do my own heat treating with a digital controlled kiln in order to keep tight quality control on that process. I use the "stock removal" process on making my blades from flat bar billets. The majority of my knives are made using CPM S30V stainless steel and I heat treat to 60RC for best sharp edge retention and toughness.
