Well I think we have figured out the main reason for the lack of bucks.....

Deer are deer, but ones with no fear of humans aren't really game. Pretty chicken **** to shoot one that trusts people. Had that dilemma on an antelope this year been a nice buck hanging around my place with another one, went out to shoot my bow and he was standing there 40 yards from my front door I live in the county and have a tag in the area I live but he isn't afraid of people so didn't feel right to me but to each their own. If we call ourselves sportsmen that's not sport to me.

I agree to a point. I'd agree 100% but I shoot a 1,000 yard gun and use 32x kowa binoculars, have a truck and a side by side that I can be to the top of a mountain in 5 minutes. So I haven't shot a 200" town buck but I have shot deer that had no idea I was in the same zipcode haha.

Well there's no defined line as to what's fair that's for everyone to decide for themselves but regardless of long range hunting or not it still takes skill to find those animals to shoot at. And they can leave an area for any reason they choose I suppose there's still some sport in that in my eyes

I agree with you 100%..unfortunately many hunters today have missed out on the concept of sportsmanship

How about paying big $ for a governors tag plus guide and then shooting a whopper on the edge of an exclusive private housing development? Clients probably waited for a phone call telling them fly out or head over from an hotel to whack a buck after they wandered to a spot that could be shot.
