My nephew was able to harvest his first bull elk a few days ago. My brother showed up to the shop with it this morning so I took a lunch break and cooked it up. He marinated it overnight and I just did a little Montreal Steak seasoning on it. A hot sear on all sides and then indirect heat for about 15 minutes. Let it rest while I nuked a bag of broccoli and we dug in. Man was it delicious.
