Can’t find any ballistic information for these. Wondering what everyone is using for powder volume, and if there is any ballistic info. The booklet that came with the bullets don’t even have it! Using open sights for Colorado, but was just curious what people are using for powder charge…black horn 209…..
Thanks!

Following. I have an upcoming muzzloader hunt and I was planning on using my 325 grain ELR Powerbelt. Any help would be appreciated.

Can’t help you with Powerbelts (I wouldn’t use them) but …. you can either chrono your speed or look it up in published data and run the numbers through a ballistic calculator.

It’s for deer, 250 grain. Last year I shot a spike at 290 yards. Dropped in his tracks with the 330 grain power belt. Love em. I was just looking for some powder charge advice. You won’t talk me out of the pwerbelt elr,

I really like them. Everyone has their own opinions on everything, some work better for others…..I’ve formed my own opinion on them, and all I would like is some input on powder charges!

What is the ELR made from? Is it pure soft lead like the regular powerbelts, or are they a lead alloy?

Not a fan of powerbelts. Have seen them fail on just 150/160lb whitetail multiple times. if you want to or have to use a full bore projectile use the Federal Bor Loc 270 copper or 350 pure lead both are legal. Both are way better than any powerbelt. They just fail and suck period, sure occasionally on a perfect lung shot they work.

Totally agree on original powerbelts, including the platinum. But I don’t know the composition of the ELRs. If they are tougher (not just pure lead) they might be Ok. So will reserve judgement until I know more.
