In one of those time wasting threads involving Tri, I was reminded.

Sat starts HUNTING SEASON. Literally, my season ends mid Feb(I don't have a good snow goose place).

Lots of whining and bitching, but few remember how great it is to live here.

Better part of 6 months, anytime I want, any day.

Last day to shoot bows tonight before the opener.

Ps. I'll still take vids until Friday at 11:59.

Grateful to live here, we take it for granted too often.

I’ll chime in as well in wishing everyone a safe & successful hunting season as we are about to kick off 2024! I’m a long time member & post from time to time in sharing some of my hunting successes over the years & overall have enjoyed the comradery amongst fellow sportsman. Sometimes it gets a bit out of hand, but I still enjoy being amongst “my people.” This year I’m extra excited to get back to one of my most happiest places…..archery deer camp on the mountain.

Two weeks ago I welcomed my son (best hunting buddy) back from serving his LDS mission in New York, NY. I’m so proud & grateful for many things; his safe return, his healthy return, the impact these last 2 years have made on the people he’s been around & served, and the impact it has made on him & the way he carries himself. It has been a great thing for him & I know he’s on the right track to do well in life. He starts at USU the week after next in mechanical engineering. He’s a busy young man starting the next chapter in his life so that’s why these next coming days are going to be so special for me. There’s just something about getting away from it all that’s just plain good for the soul. I can’t wait…..& I think my son is pretty darn excited as well. Be well everyone & may this year be a great one doing what we love with the ones we love.
