y mom was severally beaten by a dude after her divorce with my dad. Black and blue from head to toe. Worst sight to see I’ve ever seen. Just the worst.
But,,,,,,,, it wouldn’t do her any good or anyone involved any good to post it on the internet ruining the dudes life and embarrassing my mom.

At no point have I said to accept the violence now. I'm just saying it's strange the names we call people wh are doing what our ancestors did to get us here.

. It wasn’t only her, but it says in “presence of a child”, “unlawful detention”, “assault”, “threats” and “intoxication”


Your either drunk, or not. Either a kid there, or not. Detained, or not. Assaulted or not.



Maybe, "threats" ? Perhaps being charitable he yelled **** in anger?

But when combined with the others?
 
When I hear about things like this, it reminds me of a story. I was at the Circle K getting a Thirstbuster years ago and there was a lady nearby that had a real good shiner. I don’t usually see those on women so I was captivated by it. I was filling up the cup and staring at her and the cup was overflowing for a while and I didn’t notice. Finally someone told me and laughed at me and said “that’s what you get for staring”,
 
How is saying waiting for the facts make me better than you or anyone. Empathy is the better word for the situation.
Empathy for the kids involved , the women involved in this situation.
I’m not better than the latest turd my dog made in the backyard, so you know.
Does anyone ever think about the kids involved when they post this crap on the internet. Maybe the women doesn’t want to be embarrassed either or the kids have everyone know at their school. Posting people’s giant mistakes on the internet might actually be abusing the rest of the family also. What good does it do for anyone involved in the tragedy. I think about the kids involved and the women. Embarrassing the dude I can kinda see but only after the facts. But what about the kids having their dirty laundry posted on the internet can’t be good for them. The more people that find out the worse for them and their own embarrassment. That’s what the court system is for. And the case is in the system from what I can see. No one ever thinks about the damage to the offended when they post this stuff. Take into consideration the offendeds feelings Also.
If I was a kid in that situation I wouldn’t anyone to know about what happened other than the court system. To protect my own self as child and being made fun of or someone making fun of me. There’s families involved here key. More than the offender are involved. Putting it out there for everyone to see isn’t good for the kids or wife. The stigmas that ensue. All of it makes it harder for everyone to heal. I wasn’t defending the dude. If he’s truly guilty then he’ll get what he has coming. It’s the kids and the wife i worry about having all their dirty laundry plastered on the Internet.
If me saying all this makes me look high and mighty then so be it. That’s not what I’m trying to say though. You’re missing my point.
When one of our own in the hunting world makes a big mistake we all want to crucify the mistake. That’s fine but does it do the sport any good. My opinion is that’s a no.

It’s more about empathy. Empathy for the offended and yes maybe a little empathy for the offender. I’m from the train of thought that if I make a mistake or someone I care about makes a mistake , that they can learn from it and be a better person. I hope that when I make a mistake that people would have some form of empathy for me and especially for the person I offended. In this case the kids or wife might not want the extra embarrassment that comes from having it plastered all over the internet so others could jump in and slay they family or know dirty Landry. It’s not about covering it up at all. It’s about the best environment for healing to place. In this case the wife and kids first and for most.
Wouldn’t you want the same key for you or the ones you love.
Getting all excited and jumping on the judgement train doesn’t help the kids or family one bit. It acrually might hurt them or totally embarrass them.
No one thinks of that much.

I wonder why some get so excited when they find something negative out about someone else. I can just picture the excitement, hands almost shaking with joy to post something negative that happened to someone else.
I’ve never understood that and never will.
How some people can get so excited and happy to destroy someone else.
When people make mistakes it’s just human nature for some to rejoice in the slaughter.

I finally realize why I shouldn’t be on hunting sites. It’s sad it’s the case. There’s just to many people that want to put down how others hunt , what they shoot , if they hired guide , how they hunt , the weapon they used, how far they shot. Ect ect.
There’s always a wall of negativity ready to be unleashed on someone. It’s really sad. All of my hard core hunting friends stopped being on any of these sites many years ago. For the exact reasons. It has nothing to do with how founder runs this site or him at all. How could he possibly reign in the amount of negativity that’s right there under the surface just waiting to be unleashed. I feel sorry for founder that he has to even attempt to keep his site positive more than it is negative. All hunting sites are this way, not just this one.
I knew I shouldn’t be on any site years ago. It’s just taxing to see all the negativity over and over again.
After todays joust just saying let’s learn the facts before this guy gets demolished or that posting this stuff doesn’t do the family any good,,,,, I’m done finally. It took being constantly exposed to so many negative threads over and over and over. My god people get more excited to see someone fry or make fun of the way they hunt ect ect than to see a big buck. And if you do get lucky enough to harvest a big critter get ready for an assault on how you did it.

I’m finally done , I’m going to join rhe rest that left long ago. Finally I see that there’s just way to many people on here along with any other site , that live to be negative. The sports overrun with negativity , jealousy and spite.
The only way to protect yourself from it all is to just stay away.
I’m a really slow learner and always have been.
I wish to all a happy hunting season , and lots of luck to all. Even the ones that live to be negative. I hope they do even better than I do , maybe it will make them a happier crowd to deal with for the rest.

Is there positivity to be gleaned by YET ANOTHER Utah guide being arrested? Where should we celebrate?


The biggest threat to hunting in this state, IS commercial hunting.


Here's what the majority of this state, who don't hunt, see.


Hunters light fires under trees bears, hunters run canned lion hunts, hunters trespass, hunters poach, hunters harass deer in campgrounds, hunters using helicopters, hunters beating their wives.


Not a SINGLE one of those were hunters, EVERY one of them commercial buisnesses, and all within the last year.

And you want us to what? Talk about how big the deer that was poached is? Share pics of a canned lion?

The majority of us are getting g real sick and damn tired of the corporate folks f-ing up then demanding the hunters need to stand by them in support because otherwise the antis will end hunting.

WE are sick of it. We are tired of every headline azzhats in the corporate space bringing heat on the 99.9% who somehow manage to hunt without needing a lawyer.

Here's a secret. This site carries a ton of weight. It's monitored heavily. One only needs to look at recent decisions, and the noise that started it.

The commercial hunting industry should start paying attention.

If you can't handle what you read, don't read it.

But stop whining at Founder to censor it.

It’s the sheer amount of negativity. It’s all of it. It’s not enjoyable at all. It’s not about agreeing or disagreeing. It’s almost all negative. Far more than it is positive.

Look at any of the forums and take an honest assessment of how many turn into brutal mess. At least 40 percent do. There’s something really wrong with that. It does give me anxiety and sadness. That’s why all and I mean every single hard core hunter friends of mine left long ago. It’s become unbearable for a sport that was built around family ans friends just finding a way to enjoy themselves in the outdoors. However they choose to enjoy it.
How can this be fun when you look at the all the forums. The answer is , it’s not.

The biggest threat to hunting in this state, IS commercial hunting.


Here's what the majority of this state, who don't hunt, see.


Hunters light fires under trees bears, hunters run canned lion hunts, hunters trespass, hunters poach, hunters harass deer in campgrounds, hunters using helicopters, hunters beating their wives.


Not a SINGLE one of those were hunters, EVERY one of them commercial buisnesses, and all within the last year.

And you want us to what? Talk about how big the deer that was poached is? Share pics of a canned lion?

The majority of us are getting g real sick and damn tired of the corporate folks f-ing up then demanding the hunters need to stand by them in support because otherwise the antis will end hunting.

WE are sick of it. We are tired of every headline azzhats in the corporate space bringing heat on the 99.9% who somehow manage to hunt without needing a lawyer.

Here's a secret. This site carries a ton of weight. It's monitored heavily. One only needs to look at recent decisions, and the noise that started it.

The commercial hunting industry should start paying attention.

If you can't handle what you read, don't read it.

But stop whining at Founder to censor it.

What is the need to have everything censored to your liking?

It's a thread about a guy that got drunk, beat up his wife, wouldn't let her go, and did so in front of his kid(s), and tge result is you can't take tge negativity of guys not being supportive of the abuser?


You write 230 pages of stuff, and in the end are appealing to Founder to censor?

Why? Did he force you to read this thread?

I didn’t quit over this thread. I quit over all the other thousands of threads this site has on it.
It’s just to taxing to log onto this site and see all the negativity on every forum. If it’s not a wife beater thread it’s another one that’s super negative.
When you’ve had a loved one such as my mom go through what this threads about you learn first hand how painful it really is. It’s beyond painful. The anger I felt was overwhelming inside. I’m the last one that would condone what this thread’s about. For dam sure I am. How I had to defend myself in my moms situation is just crazy.

It’s just nice to see that someone got their say in court. That all the facts came out. Then and only then should people lynch the guy on the internet. I personally don’t see what good that does. Trust me I wanted my mom’s abuser more than destroyed many times. And in the end he got his payback , big time. Which is how it should be.
My point was it’s another annihilation of someone. Always is an upcoming annihilation of someone for something they did. Whether it’s shooting to far , hiring a guide , the weapon they used. This thread is just another example of annihilating someone for something. Ya it’s not for hiring a guide or shooting to far or how they hunt, no , it’s just another way to be negative and slaughter someone for something else. It’s just another angle on being super negative.
Tomorrow there will be several new threads on new stuff to be negative about. Maybe someone’s son shot too far or they didn’t get the meat out on time. It’s always something. Every day it’s a new annihilation , a new thread to argue about , and someone did hunting their way in the woods, but gets annihilated. People deserve their day in court and all facts presented. And I hope that the dude gets some significant charges.
I have extremely personal pain regarding the subject matter and would have more reasons than most to pile on the dude in question, but it think everyone should have an honest day in court with all facts presented. And……. It doesn’t do the family any good to have their dirty laundry exposed for the kids and wife’s sake alone. It does more damage to the situation especially the kids. After what happened to my mom it would be easy to want to post this thread myself and be the first to dive on the dude myself.
But that’s not the best way to handle a tragedy. It never is.

More. Someone made a massive gigantic mistake and let’s annihilate em. Doesn’t make any sense. I hope the guy gets hammered In court , finds himself again , and becomes the father his kids desperately want him to become or get back to.
It’s so far from the fact I was condoning it. It’s just yet another negative thread for others to get their jollies off. Just another one for the buzzards to circle on and get some enjoyment over, piound of flesh.
Don’t worry tomorrow and the next day and the next week there will plenty of other threads in every forum to argue about or attack someone for. It’s just unbearable. If it’s not a dude that beat his wife, tomorrow it will be a some dude who shot to far or hired a guide.
Then we wil roll into a poacher thread the next week and then the following day we will rolll into a post about someone who didn’t get their meat out in time. Then the next day we roll straight into a guide ripping contest. Then some dude will post one of his critters he harvested and surprise supirise we roll straight into something he did wrong or didn’t do. It’s just pathetic.
This thread didn’t chase me out , it’s the other 500 hundred threads about other hunts that turn negative.
There’s about 10 guys on here that literally ruin it for the rest. If you notice their the ones that post the most. Just look at any thread that’s shredding someone for something wife beater or not And you’ll see them going at it.
Most of the negativity comes from 10 to 15 of the same dudes.
No I’m not leaving because of this thread. Leaving because of the other 500 threads.
Take an honest assessment of all the forums. Look at how quickly a normal
Post someone makes diverts into lameness.
The sites over run by 10 to 15 guys. I don’t get on for months at a time. But when I do I know here it comes about 40 pendant of the time. Someone shot to far , used a gun that was to light , hired a guide , wiped their ass the wrong way in the forest ect ect ect.
How is that enjoyable. If you enjoy shredding others for how they hunt or how they choose to do the outdoors in general, then the sites are perfect. If you enjoy seeing more goodness than badness and attacks and destruction of others , then stay off the sites.
That’s what I’m finally realizing today.
Take an assessment someday of my assessment. It’s true.
40 to 50 percent of all threads turn into a joke , negative that is.
Again it’s not founders fault. This site is the best on the internet ,, but it’s completely been overtaken by the few.
The joy others get by attacking others for whatever it is , is just wearing.

It’s not fun guys. Not at all.

I know what happened to the cop. I posted that thread years ago and a lot of people on these forums defended him. Thanks for making my point for me.

Would you like to tell these people how much prison or jail time he got for beating a woman????

I guess they had to keep him out of there or ol'tough boy Vanilla would have used one of his jail house favors to get some Justice.🤣

And if you are admitting to being a thief and a murderer the same way you admitted to violating the Lacey Act as a taxidermist and how you love poachers and think a woman getting beaten is just part of marriage, that is on you. Not all guides and Outfitters are like that. Also there is definitely a place for guides and Outfitters in this state
