Have to agree..this buck has great mass..but tine length will hold him back. Great buck just won't score well

He will end up on the ground if you do not get him first. But yes shallow forks - but some mass and the extras make him.

I think he is better than others. The mass makes his tines look shorter than they are. I'm guessing 174" gross. The mass and nontypical points help make up for the weak forks on his right side.

I agree. I wish I could post the video of him, it shows him better. His best antler I'm guessing will score over 90 by itself.

I'm getting 161, could be a bit more depending on his spread credit he looks narrow so I only gave him 18 on that. I got 79 on his big side and 64 on the small side.

You could be right, but I do think he is bigger. His body dwarfed the other deer he was with. He was a different caliber than the others.

I still think everyone else is under scoring this buck. He is over 170" gross. Nontypical points and mass and large body size will all make him score better than he may 1st appear.

It will be interesting if you are able to get a tape on him.

If I give him the max of what I think is possible on every measurement I get 172. But that's me saying I think it's this, but if you told me it was an inch longer or something I wouldn't question it.

That weak side, and his beams are keeping him from 170's in my opinion.
