It’s having trouble/failing to extract factory ammo like they are too hot. It’s happened on multiple manufacturers. Seems to cycle fine with live rounds, I want to get it checked out to see if anything seems off.

I was trying to get a gun smith to fix an extraction problem on a 700 but he was not much help, so I bought an extractor from midway or jacks first gun parts, it was like 4 dollars and I replaced it my self.

There was a recall at one time where Remington had issues with that , I had to take mine in to have it fixed.

If its the factory extractor, just buy one from brownell's or Midway and replace it. There a few others that might carry it. Fairly easy to replace if you have some minor mechanical skills. Or you can send your bolt off to a gunsmith and they can put a Sako extractor in the bolt. That will solve your extraction problem. Unknown Munitions might do it, I had Christenen Arms do mine about 15 years ago not sure if they still do them. maybe Midwest Gunworks might do them. Hope that helps

Another vote for Maraviov. Had him install a muzzle brake on my gf's Rem 700. Does great work, good prices too. Even added some color on the brake to blend closer with barrel (stainless brake and blued barrel) for no extra charge.
