Possible Growth/Score

I am fairly new to mule deer buck hunting. Any idea on how much more growth and score of a buck like this?

Hard to judge given the pic angle but anywhere from 160-175 depending where he goes from there.

Alot depends on when these pics were taken..but I would think he will go into the 170s

That buck is still got some growing to do on all his points other than maybe his beams, still really fat points. I think he could still put on a significant amount especially on his back end. Wouldn't surprise me if he broke 180 when finished.

I think he is right at 170 as he sits right now, maybe just under.

I've seen bucks be finished growing by August 1st, and some pack on some inches until mid August. I think he still has a few weeks of growing left personally.

I know he is at least 6.5 years old (from previous years pics) and he was in velvet last year three weeks into August. I am hoping he will grow those forks deeper.

If he's 6.5, my guess is he won't get much, if any bigger than this year.

Looks like a 155" buck to me. If he goes much over 165" I would be surprised. It is a heck of a buck to most of the hunting population.

Due to his mass, I bet his tine length is higher than you think. I bet he ends up in the 170s. Get him and let us know!

6.5 years old, heavy bugger, 170+ easy. Let us know when you shoot him what he scores. I'm with Jake, I bet he's better than most think. Dinky brows don't help. If he had 6-7"'s of brow tine I'd bet he'd end up real close to 180. Sweet buck, mass is king.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he added 1” or possibly 2” to the end of each tine. Brow tines probably won’t get any longer. He could certainly add 10” or more over the next couple weeks. If I had good reason to believe he is over 6 years old and I had a history with him, I would be happy putting my tag on him. I think he will end up 170”+. Unless he adds more than I would expect, I don’t think he would exceed 180”.
