I can’t answer all these questions, but look at any officer involved shooting. Have you ever seen the LEO that pulled the trigger get put before the press to answer questions…ever, let alone within 72 hours of the incident?
There are a whole lot of questions that should demand answers in all this. Why the sniper that killed the guy hasn’t been in the press is certainly not one of them. At least not a reasonable one.
I do look forward to those with power getting explanations to the rest of us for it, however. This was an absolute and utter failure in planning for security.
No, I haven’t. However, it’s not every day a ex U.S. President/significant Presidential Candidate, gets shot either…… so the circumstances are quite different, don’t you agree. Albeit, I saw the guy that killed bin Laden interviewed numerous times, but yes it wasn’t immediately after he shot him.
Here’s my point, we all recognize the conflicts between the governing bodies in our country. There is dangerously bad blood between the citizens and much is the hot blood is due to the lack of openness that persists. When information isn’t freely shared, and shared quickly, people begin into draw conclusions on their own. Human nature, I suppose, but regardless if it’s human nature or not, it’s a feeding ground for conspiracy theories that become true in some peoples minds. We all know that is a fact.
Knowing that will happen….. don’t you think a wise thing to do would be to get some of these obvious questions addressed as quickly as possible, to keep the theorists from further dividing our citizen, and driving the gooks to doing these kinds of horrific things.
I understand the need to gather pure and clean data after a crime seen……. An obvious attempt, and very near miss, at killing Trump or any other Presidential Candidate seems to require a different approach than the norm?
I recognize the endless circle my questions cause. Granted, I asked, and you responded, and asked a question back to me. I’ve attempted to answer you to the best of my ability.
Regarding SS statement that a sloping roof is difficult to secure is nonsense in my opinion. In this case, and under these heightened emotions, all they would have need to do was have sniper teams, elevated on both sides of the building’s roof, from other structures or from a man made platform of some kind. Its wasn’t like that ridge was a hundred feet in the air. A couple of snipers in a back hoe bucket could have covered the outside of that building easily…….. a stupid idea, but you get the point. Hell, people standing on the ground, 50 yards away could see the shooters enter body. Yes….. Vanilla you did say it was a botched plan, that should and will take time to determine why…….. these specific questions and others, can and should be addressed quickly, under these circumstances, the last thing we need right now is for people’s mistrust in our systems to get hotter.
