Do you think this kid will grow up with a positive view of American policing? What do you think he will teach his kids?

Does anyone wonder anymore why very few people back the blue anymore?

Well the cop definitely made a bad judgment call and it sucks the kid got his night screwed up but 62 in a 35. He didn’t get beat up or anything. Should’ve been a ticket and on his way. Probably the best thing that will happen to him, now he has a poor me song.

He went to jail. That isn't just a night screwed up. It took 2 months to get the charges dropped. More than likely he had 5-10k in attorney fees. If that's the best thing that ever happened to a kid, that was a complete gentleman to an officer, I would never ever ever want to see a cop ever again. That kid did everything by the book and got **** on for it. And there's one more blood line that will never trust police again. Damn all around shame.

That's why I never speed and keep both hands on the wheel at the 10 and 2 position and always use my turn signals when changing lanes or entering or exiting the freeway.

Having said that, if that cop did that to me, I would take it personal and I would make him pay at some point down the road. He wouldn't even see it coming or even know what happened.

One of the sure ways to detect cannabis use is speeding? You bettcha. He might have been speeding but I highly doubt it was 62 in a 35. The cop lied about everything else.

I doubt it took much in attorney fees. What prosecutor would charge with 2 confirmed negative tests?

Are you that stupid? Vast majority of people respect the blue. Sure there are some POS police, hopefully this DB is flipping burgers.

#tribabyisamoron.
Get out of your bubble. Not many people support police anymore. Your inner circle isn't the majority anymore.

There is also a chance this entire video was made for entertainment purposes and youtube views. Quite possible other people send him fake videos. How does he have over 600 videos of bad cops with great detail? Who sends them to him?

There are probably hundreds of these videos out there of bad cops being like this. Hundreds out of hundreds of thousands of encounters.
I'm not sure the circles that the op runs in, but if he's of the mind that very few people back the police, he's definitely the one in a bubble.

I don’t need public support, I’m not a cop. The vast majority are good guys and I can respect that. I just refuse to hate ‘em all because a few are bad, but you do you.
Funny. You are the only one here bringing up "hate". As usual you didn't read. It's not about hate. Well maybe for you it is.

Not just hundreds of thousands, more like millions. Yes, there are people that are cops that suck, just like there are people that are taxidermists that suck too.

And sometimes even decent folk make bad choices. But if anyone watches this video and laps it up, I’ve got some property in Arizona with a beautiful view of the ocean right from the porch!

This is actually the best counterpoint to my post yet. You are correct. There is a lot of fake junk on the internet.

However I can tell you the host of the video is a real attorney that specializes in civil rights law. There are thousands upon thousands of videos on the internet of all levels of police malfeasance. Some of it is slanted and inaccurate "hit" journalism and some is disgusting crime. The host does pretty good work in checking back story and actual legal documentation. But he can get fooled like anyone.

Then make sure they aren't cops anymore instead of attacking the people who shine the light on them.

I have no doubt there are a record number of plick cops on the streets these days, but there is also a record number of disrespectful law breaking people too. I think it's really hard for Departments to hire good people to be cops these days. I don't know where it's all headed but I don't see it getting any better. I feel the USA is spiraling out of control on several levels.

Tri it is apparent that you are a cop hater. Why, we do not know and most of us do not care.
Your statement that the majority of people do not like or trust cops is full of holes that I doubt you can back your mouth up on that one.
I spent 30 years in law enforcement and 20 of those years were as a patrol deputy and patrol Sgt. 10 years as a Det. Sgt. and narcotics officer. The 410 square mile area I and my deputies patrolled we had tremendous support from the citizens in the 5 communities in the beat. I can recall at least 5 incidents where citizens came to the aid of the officers in that beat. a couple of those incidents the citizen did so at the risk of their safety or life.
i and my deputies had numerous places to stop at a citizen's home and have coffee with them and get information as to what was going on in their area that we should be concerned with.
Yes there is bad cops out there, but they are a small minority compared to the honest hard working cops. As a Det. Sgt. I even told one bad cop that I would have his badge and was able to back that up by getting him fired because he was dishonest and badge heavy.
I also agree with Eel that it is harder now to get good people to become a cop due to people like you with your feelings that promote de-funding of law enforcement. Because of that problem alot of departments have lowered standards for hiring which I hate to see as it may lead to lower quality officers being hired.
You need to grow up and stick with your taxidermy work and do not drink alcohol or smoke dope prior to driving.

Mud slinging fake news isn’t light.

There is a difference.
Sweeping things under the rug by calling it fake never fixed anything.

You think the needle has moved in a positive direction for police at all in the last 2 decades???? It hasn't. Like most things in this breaking nation it has just become more and more polarized with fewer and fewer objective centrists to keep it balanced.

Do you want your kids meeting this cop alone on a highway at night?????

No hate here, Tri. I just don’t overreact and cut down the whole tree because one cherry had a worm. I realize a lot of what you post is for shock value, so I won’t chase you down your rabbit hole.
Carry on.
Nobody here tried to cut down the whole tree. Calm down and read. Life will be more pleasant

You got a cop fired????? It's clear you hate all cops. Quit using drugs.

The end.

That's how stupid your post is.

You want your children meeting this cop alone on a dark highway?

I had a taxidermist steal my horns and leave the state. They are all horrible bastards. All the people I hang out with hate taxidermists. I can Google bad taxidermists and get all kinds of hits so that proves I’m right.
I am not surprised.

Now if I was a cop I would start beating treating you like crap so you would begin respecting me again.

Honest question. You want your children meeting the cop in this video alone on a dark highway?????

I’ll play. There is a very good chance my 3 kids can run into this specific cop as this occurred very close to home. Florence is the next town up from us. The cop made a bad judgment call but never once put the young man in harm’s way. So if he were to pull over one of my kids, I wouldn’t be worried. He has probably taken a lot of drunk drivers off the road making it safer for my family.

You are willing to sacrifice your kids safety in a county jail so someone can every now and then catch an extra drunk driver?????

Hell no. I’m not willing to sacrifice my kids to anything. THE COP MADE A BAD CALL! Don’t forget that kid was excessively speeding, he’s not 100% innocent in that video. Everyone WANTS to be outraged about something these days and clearly this triggered you. I have seen this lawyers videos before and I think you could have picked a better one to post here.

As soon as he showed the tox results and then called the field tests “junk science” I knew this entire video was complete BS.

And yes, I think policing is exponentially better today than it was 20 years ago. But one of us here actually knows what we are talking about on these topics.

Wow, someone must of stuck a nerve with old Tri, since he was the only one posting replies in the middle of the night.

Everyone in your patrol beat knew you carried a gallon can of kerosene in your car. No wonder they were so cooperative.

The cop was 100% in the wrong.
Anyone that drives that stretch knows how easy it would be to not slow down in time.

Bet the kid one nighted his daughter.

Eel you are mistaken, I carried two one gallon cans of kerosene in the back of my Dodge Ram Charger patrol vehicle in the event I encountered multiple targets or a McCoy moving into the district.

A bad call??? He put an 18 year old kid in jail for bloodshot eyes after said kid did everything he was asked and was totally respectful. HE WILL DO THE EXACT SAME TO YOUR KID. So a speeding kid needs a night or two in jail???? That's your justification. A cop gets to excessively torment a kid that totally respects him for speeding? Last time I checked that's a $250 ticket, not an excuse to screw a kid as much as possible.

You have missed my point.

Cops have a PR problem right now. Do you think malicious and stupid behavior towards a good citizen helps that in any way?

Contrary to what the kids around here think, I WANT GOOD COPS. I want smart cops. I want cops that are smart enough not to step on their own D!ck and loose the trust of good people.

Ha! No chance he understands what that report showed in the video means. Particularly when it comes to Delta-9.
What are you arguing for Vanilla? A few posts ago you said this was fake. Are you saying it's real now. I don't have a problem with you changing your mind.

I didn’t miss your point, I know what you’re driving at. I guess the point I’m trying to make is cops have a very thin line to walk these days with cameras everywhere. They are human and make bad calls sometimes. Doesn’t mean this cop always acts like that.

Certain things you do once and we go ahead and find you a different job to do.

If I have an employee loose a tool we can have a little pow wow and get him back on the bench. If I have an employee talk trash to a client, he's gone. I'm actually a very forgiving person. But from a liability standpoint or even a public safety standpoint this officer is out of his available skill set. He can answer phones or go work at the city planners office. Something with little to no interpretive logic or judgement is necessary.

A cop should be walking a thin line whether a camera is present or not.

Nice attempt at spin, but you aren’t getting out of this one.

The toxicology report is shown in your own BS video. You were asked a direct question. I’m betting you won’t (and can’t) answer it!

The turd never answering questions he just asks them of everyone else.

Most drug screens for law enforcement are usually 8, 10, or 16 panel screenings, but a lot of time on the lower end of the panel testing. Spice, inhalents, and delta-8 rarely show up in the results. There are plenty more. Just think of all the different pills out there. It's impossible to test for everything at the crime lab. They just test for the common types of drugs/alcohol.

If tri is ever able to follow these bread crumbs we’ve left him (doubtful), I will then ask about how THC metabolizes in the body and what that means for blood draws and tox results.

If (big if) he’s able to even get to that point.

I wonder if his fake news YouTube crush has any videos about that?

"Most"

Looks like I understood this was a loaded question from the start.

I love how you are doing what the stupid cop did here. You attack the 18 year old kid for his bloodshot eyes and try and convince us he's gotta be guilty of something. They call that doubling down and it's a really bad "look".

Far from a rigged question. You seem to be the expert on policing issues and talk about voodoo tests and bad arrests. I also like the YouTube constitutional lawyer. He reeks credibility

According to the video the court dismissed the case against the kid which was absolutely the right thing to do. IMO. The prosecutor never should have pressed charges to begin with. IMO.

Totally rigged question and I never said anything about a "voodoo test".

Quit being a giant chicken poop and tell us what you know about the tox results tri.

You posted this video, not anyone else. You cited it as gospel for what everyone hates the police these days. You used it as authority.

Now you should explain something very simple for those in the know. I know you won’t. You’ve always been a pansy.

Yep. So I can explain it to you.. you seem to think it's a cut and dry definition and there's only one type of toxicology report.
Tri,

You don’t have to “splain” anything to me. Here is an article I co authored that was published in the Journal of American Optometric Association way back in 1998 on the topic. I’m sure you have read plenty of toxicology reports in your work as a taxidermist.

The NIDA standard for marijuana is 50 nano grams. If it is 49 nano grams the test is negative even though it is present. The only drug that has a presumptive level of intoxication is alcohol. If you want to debate any of this stuff let’s have it.

Cop bashing is so Obama era. It has backfired on the dems and you see that crimes rates are up in liberal cities and places like Portland are voting out the DAs supported by Soros because they are tired of the crime rate.

Come on lost, you’re giving him all the answers!

With a 50 ng detection level, one might ask how often someone’s blood will exceed that level in the real world.

I know the answer to that. I wonder if tri does?

(I actually don’t wonder at all…)

"Quit being a giant chicken poop and tell us what you know about the tox results tri."

Nothing. If you would read you would understand I can't read it.

"You posted this video, not anyone else. You cited it as gospel for what everyone hates the police these days. You used it as authority."

Actually i didn't. But reading really isn't your thang.

"Now you should explain something very simple for those in the know. I know you won’t. You’ve always been a pansy"

You really are hoping no one noticed this cop treated a good kid like dirt and he won't trust the government anymore. Don't worry I'll remind everyone.

Yes drug use invented blood shot eyes.🤣

"And other signs", is kind of important.

Just so people don't forget this isn't about your problems understanding toxicology. It's about a cop treating good people like spit and cops need to treat good people well.

No that's reminding people what this thread was about and yes it's a really bad look for police. They might want to treat their allies like equal citizens before they have no friends left at all.

Would you like to watch again?

Never said it invented blood shot eyes. It’s apparent you lost this argument.

Lost, it’s good to put your credentials behind the name. I’ve actually read your study in the past.

I assume you’re out of the game these days? Chuck recently retired from IACP, as you probably know. Lots going on these days with the impaired driving world. It never ends.

That's funny I didn't realize there was an argument to lose.

Did you forget the purpose of this thread. It shows you how this cop takes a kid who could be his ally and treats him like garbage to make another enemy.

Just in case you missed it.

yes, been out of it since 2016. Unfortunately it never changes. Always something new.

I know one thing, if I ever get bloodshot eyes for any reason, I'm calling an Uber. I had no idea it was against the law.

And by the way, he probably didn't even have bloodshot eyes. The cop lied about everything else. Did he use radar to prove he was driving 63mph?

And the cop's fat partner was of no help at all. He was more afraid than the kid was.

So this guy is saying the cop was asking questions trying to elicit incriminating responses without reading the person his Miranda rights during a traffic stop and subsequent DUI investigation.

Tri’s YouTube civil rights attorney must be as up to speed on the law as his three fake attorney friends he goes to dinner with and staffs Utah criminal cases.

Free advice to this YouTuber, do some case research. Let us know when Miranda (which is not in the constitution) kicks in.

I’ve listened to two portions, about 3 minutes a piece. Both times this clown says something so dumb it’s impossible to get to the actual parts about the officer being mean.

The officer tested the kid for more then blood shot eyes. Using the flashlight he tested the kid's pupils for reaction to a strong light. Pupils should have constricted under strong light. Will not with most drugs. He was also testing for the pupils being dilated which happens with most drug use.
Also by moving the flashlight and having the kid follow the light with his eyes only is a test to see if the pupils bounce when the pupils get to the edge of the eye opening. If they do it is a indication of being under influence of drugs or alcohol.
Tri you need to stick to your work as you have no idea what it takes to preform one small aspect of police work. None of us know if that officer did observe any of the items listed above that would indicate being under the influence of alcohol or drugs while driving. Also I did not observe any thing that the officer did that would indicate he was heavy handed with the kid or be considered "badge happy" and pushing his authority with the citizen.
I would not be surprised that the attorney who posted that video may be a shyster that chases ambulances for his blood money.
As for being advised of his "Miranda" rights. That does not kick in until the suspect is arrested or the suspect has a REASONABLE right to feel he is under arrest, and the officer wishes to question him further.

Lusten to what the officer says on the video.

I never said the officer was heavy handed. He just screwed someone he had no reason to screw and had absolutely no care for the negative impact on all police. I am not interested in what you think it takes to do police work. I am interested in police not screwing themselves and their colleagues and I am especially interested in self absorbed untouchables screwing over kids. I don't like it when priests do it either.

The attorney is real and he specializes in civil rights cases I believe in the state of west Virginia. If cops do their job well he would be out of a job. If you don't like him or his channel that's how you put him out of business.

If you do see those signs and you administer a breathalyzer and it comes back 0.0 then you can rule out alcohol? He passed all the other coordination tests too. He even closed his eyes and guessed 30 seconds within 1 second. I personally don't know one person who smokes weed who could do that. He didn't even start laughing which tells me he was clean. 😄 I've never seen a stoner drive 60+ in a 35 either. 15 in a 35 is more typical.

I think he's too busy making and editing YouTube videos to be a shyster.

Tri, you never answer the questions and just drone on. Not going to debate with a taxidermist from texas that is an expert on everything.

You are defending crap. Total crap. The DA threw it out because even he knows it's STOOOOOPID. Defending this is STOOOOOOOPID. There are 2 things that make cops look STOOOOOOPID. You and this cop 🤣

Tri, when you told a 30 year retired LE “I am not interested in what you think it takes to do police work”, you totally lost what little credibility you had in your anti cop argument.
I seriously doubt a cop could school a retired taxidermist on what it takes to mount animals either.

A important nationwide study on cannabis impairment showed the single highest reason for a stop in confirmed** cannabis impaired arrests was speeding. So that whole popular narrative is kind of BS.

**(DRE eval calling cannabis impairment supported by toxicology result)

Tri, when you told a 30 year retired LE “I am not interested in what you think it takes to do police work”, you totally lost what little credibility you had in your anti cop argument.
I seriously doubt a cop could school a retired taxidermist on what it takes to mount animals either.

Especially one at the top of the impaired driving game who is a published researcher on the topic.

But then again, there is a blow hard making crap up on YouTube, so that’s right up Tri’s alley. He is a blowhard that loves making crap up on the internet.

I didn't come here for cop credibility. I don't want or need cop credibility. I came here to share this video that shows a cop making cops look bad to the last people on earth they should be looking bad to.

It worked.

Pretty much every single person I know speeds. I know one person that smokes weed. Speeding doesn't mean you are a stoner and you don't know squat about statistics.

He's more than a blow hard. He wins cases. I know you hate it but he knows something about people's rights and he shares that info.

I know your job is easier when you screw people who don't know their rights. To bad.

I’m not sure what it is here that you think worked, tri. You failed miserably at convincing us that all cops are bad.
I’m no cop but I damn sure respect their work, for all the BS and hatred they contend with daily.

I forgot. I know these gangsters keep trying to hijack this thread but this is what it's about.

A cop screws over a kid that's on his side.

If you would learn how to read I didn't come here to convince you all cops are bad.

Have you noticed you watched the video and now YOU KEEP saying all cops are bad? I never said it but the video makes you think it. Even you know this idiot looks horrible.

I got a speeding ticket 2 weeks ago. The cop was a complete horses a$$ to me. Cocky, confrontational and super agressive.

I havnt had a speeding ticket in 20 years and 875,000 miles of Driving. I was driving my mother-in-law’s car and was going 11 mph over the posted speed limit. I tried explaining to him that I wasn't used to driving the vehicle but he had his mind made up.

It’s cops like him that make people hate the police.

$170 later here I sit.

He wrote on the ticket that I was “Friendly and respectful” lol
