Beaver Archery Elk 2024 with Fire

Curious if people would be turning back a Beaver Archery elk tag this year with the newest fire?

Not yet, but would keep an eye on it.

The Silver King fire on the northeast side of the unit near Marysvale is 15K+ acres and 2% contained. The smaller Little Twist fire is further south and much smaller at 5K+ acres and 60% contained. Still lots of good areas to hunt in the unit - may want to check with the Forest Service though to see if access is limited or if there are any mandatory evacuations in the unit.

Thanks for the feedback, the areas I want to hunt, the forest service has closure right up the boundaries of the areas I know and have hunted my whole life. Just don't with all the other hunts going on on the mountain and other tag holders if waiting a little longer is worth it.

I have till the 16th or so to turn tag back anyway.
