Hey all, I drew a December rifle Bull tag in Unit 46, pretty excited! Just curious as to what to expect regarding access, road conditions, worst case scenario for weather, anything I need to know outside of the norm for a hunt. I'd like to scout but with it being a migratory hunt I'm not sure how much good that would do for me? I've already narrowed down to a handful of areas I'm going to be focused on hunting. Hoping for some November snow to move the bulls down to where I can find one to put my tag on, not expecting a 350+ bull by any means just hoping for a mature bull. Thanks for any info!

I’d highly suggest you hunt it from a sxs. It’s a road hunt and the more roads you can go down the better. They can get nasty in there. I have a picture around somewhere of 20 plus bulls all in a line on a ridge in there from a few Decembers ago.

Fun hunt. Cover a ton of ground, you’ll see bulls

Appreciate it. Was thinking of bringing the jeep but will opt for the SxS instead it sounds like!

A Jeep would do it to, depending on how it’s equipped. But for really coveting ground out there you can’t beat a sxs. I’m serious, road hunt that unit. I wouldn’t be hiking until I glassed somthing up
