Exotic deer

Anyone know if there are huntable populations of exotic deer in California?
If so,
1. Which species?
2. Where in the state? and
3. Are there any pay hunt opportunities for them?

If you’re not set on California check out Texas hill country. I used to have low fence lease close to Rocksprings that had a lot of axis.

Only ones I know are on private land…. I killed a fallow deer on a ranch I had permission to hunt on years ago.

Various outfitters are offering hunts along the central coast for exotics. If I recall correctly, there are hunts for Sanbar Deer, Audad, and maybe some others.
