They bought another 20,000 acres of prime hunting land in x1 surrounding McCloud. It bums me out. I've been hunting there since I was 12 years old, 30 plus years now.

Do you have a link to an article? Curious to see the details. It's a shame that those areas get bought up for no other reason than to own it. They won't use it for anything outdoor recreation related. Are they gonna sub divide it and sell it off like the mount Shasta Forest subdivision? I've been looking at land in Siskyou since the China virus shut things down. I love Siskyou county minus the Hmong dope grows. There are an estimated 7000 dope grows in the county. I believe it's more than the rest of the state combined.

Very similar to private equity buying up mass brands in different industries.... at somepoint it will be those that have and those that have not.

There’s a lot of opportunities in that area. Fishing, hunting, hiking, camping just to name a few. Between SPI and Hearst and all the others, our taxpayer dollars are being spent to prevent/fight forest fires on land we can’t access for the most part.
