Mike, over at West Texas Hunting, has available 1 to 2 cancellation mule deer hunts. Details below:
West Texas Free range Mule deer hunt for 1 to 2 people. Available due to a cancellation. Private ranch totaling almost 30,000 acres of very
varied terrain. General season hunt, not MLD. Dates would depend on if you were booking one person or two but the season starts the day
after Thanksgiving and runs for 16 days long. No draw, license and tags over the counter.
Meals and lodging included onsite, guided hunt down near the Big Bend part of Texas. You will need to be able to do a little hiking and shoot 300 to 400 yards.
There are not a bunch of deer in this country but if you stick it out and put in the effort there are some really solid bucks for this area.
These are not big western state deer but they are very high success rate hunts with minimal hunting pressure.
Realistically expect 150s to 160s with a possible 170s. We saw some excellent 170's type bucks just after the season last year that we will hopefully turn up again this coming season.
We have installed more waters over the past couple of months and supplemental feeding more and more to give our clients the best odds of a quality and a successful hunt.
This is in a very neat area.
Here's a few pictures of the area and you can find more on my website.
Call or email me anytime with questions.
