I get what you are saying.......but a guy needing a dbh cape can't be real choosy....They definitely can fetch a decent dollar amount. There are several variables. Shoulder cape vs Lifesize, tanned vs raw and maturity of animal. Hide damage and or markings play a big factor as well.
If I ever kill another sheep......I will euro it...best looking euros and you can handle the horns...the only thing I am having a problem with here is ,
Why would you sell a cape?are you doing a European mount only on a sheep?
I don’t get what you are saying….If it's just the cape then you left about a couple grand out in the field!
Price for LS is ALOT more than a cape.I don’t get what you are saying….
I have a buddy that needs a hide message me and let me know what your thinking for priceI have a full body cape already wet tanned stored in my freezer I would sell if anyone is interested. I would possibly trade it for a good quality mule saddle with a 15 1/2" seat, not a slick fork. The ram has a beautiful thick cape. He came out of unit 161 in Nevada in 2010. Only flaw is the tips of his ears were frost bit which is pretty typical of the sheep in that unit.
