Five day Memorial Day trip into the mountains for the entire family. Ended up at Baumgartner on the South Fork of the Boise. We always share meals and recipes, duties, and everybody contributes to the enjoyment of all the others. This morning, I told him it was all on him. Not bad for a 30 inch Forest Service fire pit, fresh coals, and enough food for a dozen people. Dirty eggs with a pound of butter, ham, bacon, and cheddar cheese. Potatoes O'Brien, and some sausage links. I just kicked back, drank Bailey's and coffee, and kept my mouth shut. Satisfaction guaranteed!! :)

My daughter amped it up on her lunchtime tour of kitchen duty with red pepper chili dogs, extra cheese on hoagie buns. Texas must have rubbed off on her when we were there, and there were no beans in the chili!!! :)

Everyone wanted to play some cut throat game of cards called Hand and Foot. They know that I hate cards, so they assigned me nighttime kitchen duty. Asked me if I was too drunk to boil water, or cook meat without burning it. I carved a big prime rib roast into steaks and even got most of the ears of corn clean!!! Kids, what are you going to do with them??? :)

One heck of a weekend!!
