Panguitch LE Rifle Sept 18-22 2024 Tag

I'm super lucky and pumped at the same time. Somehow I drew the Panguitch LE Elk tag Any Legal Weapon Sept 18-22 this year. I'm looking forward to this hunt and literally can't wait. I want to take advantage of this and put in all the work as it is basically a once and a lifetime. I plan on doing as much scouting as possible and have seen good elk in the bunker creek area, but if anyone has any pointers or anything that could help me would be greatly appreciated!! (Like where is the monster elk going to be hanging out right as the rut kicks off. Haha)

My best friend drew the only non resident muzzy bull tag. I don’t know the unit very well but I hear great things about it. Good luck.

I definitely will. I was down there with a friend that shot this bull in 2021 Muzzleloader.

A five day hunt goes by very quickly. Find your target bull (or bulls) during the last few days of the archery and do everything you can to kill it opening morning.

I think a lot of early rifle tag holders will underestimate the situation under the new 5 day hunt. It goes by fast!

Thanks, good idea! Yeah 5 days definitely goes quick especially if things don't go my way... weather, elk disappear, etc..

Bingo! I don’t know the unit, so I can’t help there, but it seems you understand the urgency of getting it done in a very small window. Best of luck to you! I hope you have an incredible hunting experience!
