A cool thread is running in the Wyoming forum. I thought it would be fun to do it here in the Utah forum as well.

Post up your Utah OIL trophies! Moose, Buffalo, Mtn. Goat, Desert Bighorn or Rocky Bighorn.

With the draw results due any day this should get the blood pumping!!

I will start. This is my Utah Shiras bull. Took me 26 years to draw the tag. Hoping to draw my next tag a litter quicker lol.

2022 Utah Rocky Mtn Bighorn Sheep (California subspecies) drawn with 21 points

Now on to Desert Bighorn Sheep-hope I can draw before I am too old to walk!!

My Dads moose. He drew a tag after years of applying. Fulfilled a lifelong dream. Tough hunt for him but we got it done!

Congrats! I am so anxious to draw my Utah moose tag. I have 23 points & there is no light at the end of the tunnel!!

I'm 0 for 39 on oil tags now. What happens when you switch in the middle from moose to mtn goat and have never drawn a random LE tag of any kind in any state ever. 0 for 6 so far this year too. LOL !!!!

Am I jealous of all these pics.... oh yeah

Stoked for everyone else's trophy's, especially the mtn goats you guys have posted !!!

You’re a lucky man. I started applying for moose about 1980, and haven’t drawn yet. I missed a few of the early years when you had to pay to play and it was more important to apply for tags for my kids. All together I’ve got the un notice over 40 times. In the mean time I’ve gone on a lot of great hunts with my family. I guess I’m a lucky man too.

I’m very fortunate to have drawn that tag when I did that’s for sure…
40 unsuccessful’s is an awful lot, I hope you pull one soon…

Everyone lucks out once in a while. I drew a random tag with seven points. The taxidermist used a Canadian moose form on this mount. It’s great taxidermy work I think but not sure if the bigger form was the right call.
