Will probably go Guided. Any help on best outfitter/guide, any ranch/tress pass fee hunts or general help on the unit would be appreciated. Thanks

Congrats on the tag. Area 5 is very doable on your own. But you could contact Kendall Valley lodge and Mule Shoe outfitters. Then you could stay in one of their cabins as well. Have hunted the area a few times with family and friends for moose, deer and elk. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Very doable on your own. Wife helped me take a nice one in early October around 2010.

Thanks. We were quite fortunate. Yes, the bull made B&C. He had a drop tine too. I remember that I was sick as hell that day. Then my wife and I had to pack that bull across the river as it was the shortest way out of the willow jungle I killed him in.
