Just sell it or give it to the other person. I think, legally, you would need to go through a DOJ dept, but that would be awkward when i'm handing my kids shells in the duck blind.

Regarding the OP, I'm guessing CA has some sort of regulations against transferring ammo.

Regarding taxes, not sure I understand the ranking of CA and WI. I've always thought CA was high. Not sure what went into the ranking in the attached link, but neither is in the top 10 or bottom 10. Can you post a link? I'm just curious. Not being disagreeable. :)

Well, big game wise we have tule elk. I will draw a great bow mulie unit this year, killed a 6x7 tule 12 years ago. Max pts. On sheep. Great weather everyday, great tuna fishing. Surf and snow ski the same day. 1/9 americans live here. I bet mm has lots of clicks from ca.

All that said, my perception is that CA is really two distinct states, with the large cities (LA, San Fran, San Diego, etc.) driving the liberal politics while other areas of the state are more conservative.
 
All I know is, I can't get behind paying taxes to a state government hell bent on ruining my way of life.

They hate guns.

They hate big game hunters

They hate people who are conservative

They think the USA should be like Europe

They think that they are going to solve climate change by sending their public back to the stone age through forced timelines of "green energy solutions".....

I would rather live in a climate like siberia than pay taxes to that **** show of a state.

I am for the time being "stuck" in CA. I hate the politics. Anyone with half a brain can see there is no way for the good folks if this state to vote us out of it. Anyone with half a brain can see their state and the country are in for the same BS, it's just a matter of time. If you can't see well...see the half a brain comment.

I.e. all tv, movies., all software, it, phones, ect. And all ag. From ca. And ca. Ag gdp blows all other states away. 20k/acre for ag. Land. Goodluck. I dont pretend that ca. Will ever be conservative again, thats fine. 75 and sunny today heading to 86 in 7 days. Enjoy slippin on snow/ice. And when we do move out of state we drive your house prices up. Selling at $700/ft. And buying@$150/ft. Is fun.

At my place in Naples for 2 weeks. Best year around fishing anywhere. Food, dive bars, yeungling, lobster rolls. Grouper. The best. 88 today. Water temps 80.
 
Well, I have for 40 years. Last year epic bluefin, Dorado. Run to 300lbs. That's a 10k fish. Sierra great trout . But every month in Naples Mangrove fishing is fantastic. And stupid easy.
 
Btw, I live near Newport Beach in oc. You think oc has $$$. Naples shames Newport. 500 million $$ homes. Hannity, bird,Jordan, Mary Kay, portello hotdogs. These guys yachts are 30 mill. And they are in Naples 10 days/year. Ceo of Aetna has an island on the gulf. He pays 1.8 mill. In taxes. Amazing. The Whaler dealer here is a happy dude. Ian last year totaled a Lamborghini and ferry. In my condo.

Born and raised in CA, just moved out 1 year ago because the 1/2 brain I possess recognizes liberalism is spreading everywhere like you mentioned. But while my new home state is 20 years behind CA it will never be that bad. As it slowly comes here CA will still be getting worse. Didn’t want to raise my kids there.

Check back in with us in a couple months when it's 110 and smoky. CAs biggest exports are smoke, liberals, and mountain lions.

I disagree about the big game hunting being poor. CA has some of the best opportunity at making the record books for Blacktail Deer, Pronghorn antelope, and 3 species of elk. Mule Deer is really the only big game that is sub-par. Turkey hunting is amazing. Pig hunting is fun. Fishing and bird hunting are top notch.

Still not worth it to live there again for me. I'll travel in once in a while to recreate or make some big money but I'm always ready to leave and head home.-------SS

Do some more research. All ag land isn't selling for 20K. But you are correct, the weather on the central/southern coast is hard to beat! My time in San Luis Obispo was outstanding.

Most AG ground in Northern California, bare land, sells for $12,000-15,000 per acre. That includes rice ground. Orchard ground, depending on which type of orchard (almonds, walnuts, pistachios, peaches, prunes, cherries, pears, etc) as well as the age of trees and production records; sells for $20,000-28,000 per acre. Values on almond and walnut ground are dropping. Walnuts were selling for over $30,000 as recently as 2 years ago, but today the same ground can be had for less than $20K/acre due to the depressed state of walnuts. Presently, walnuts as a crop are not viable, and the future outlook is bleak for walnuts. No matter what type of ground, the water rights have as much to do with value as anything else.

Btw, starting 8/19, I will be bowhunting for 7 weeks, mabey more depending on the draw. then ducks, quail.
 
If Ca. is so good, why is my state over run with transplants!! And i'd say at least 30% are retired cops that say Ca. is a sht. hole..

I drew san Luis 13 years ago and killed a 307 with a shotgun. My buddie drew fhl bow last year, and another buddy Drew the lone pine bow 7 years ago, killed a 326. Patience, and play the odds.

California has the highest state income taxes in the nation. Also has the highest gas taxes in nation. Pacer1975, you need to get educated about reality.

Look up walletthub article from 3/30/23. Sales, property, state income taxes ranked. Folks spend way more/year on property and sales tax then gas tax whick is .50/ gallon higher then the national average. Big deal. Education?
