How many of you have found a shed that you know you've walked right by multiple other times?
The shed in the attached picture was close to a spot I've sat and called coyotes once or twice per winter for the past 5 years. I had to walk within a few yards of it multiple times without seeing it. Maybe next winter, I'll find the other side.

Coyote, cows, other elk and deer. I've seen or herd story's from others of all of them packing sheds around and chewing on them. I think it happens more than people realize.
For sure, I found a 2 or 3 year old 4 point shed laying on top of a cow pie, figured a critter must have put it there. Still haven’t found one laying under cow shat yet though

Id hate to know how many I've missed. The one that sticks in my head the most is the sheds off of the buck Founder killed a couple years ago. Me and who knows how many people drove right passed them i dont know how many times for a year. I just happened to glass up a shed on May 1st went to turn around and saw the 1st side laying 3 feet off the road in the wide open. (I honestly figured it was a fish and game trap but it was May 1st so mine now ??) Went back a couple days later and the mutt found the other side about 400 yards away.

That’s crazy!!

In Jan of 2004 I was watching three quality bucks in one group. That spring I found five of the six antlers. Spent quite a bit of time looking for the last remaining antler, but no luck. Finely in 2020 I am look in some sage maybe 500 yards from where I found the single and there is the match, heavy chalk and some lichen. Hard to say how many times I was with in 50 yards, but it was many.

The picture I posted in the 2 big deer thread is of this buck and one of the others in Aug of 2004.
