My son's first buck was killed "hiding" on a hillside about 150 yards away. We were driving up to our hunting spot when I spotted the buck from the passenger side. My son being in the back seat w/ my Dad driving, we stopped, got out, got my son set up prone on the bipod. All the while, the buck was hiding....with 3/8's of his body behind a juniper he knew we had no idea he was there. I was laying next to my son giving him instruction to breath and just squeeze the trigger. It was probably a minute in total that the buck just stayed there....not moving a muscle. It was a memory that will last a lifetime.

This one was hiding behind a tree but made the mistake of peeking around it. The only shot was to put one thru his forehead
