5b Youth Mule Deer

I’ve got two cousins with the coveted youth mule deer tag in 5b. I’ll be headed up a couple days before to scout.

For those that have hunted that hunt before, I’d love to pick your brain about it. More than anything I’d like to get confirmation that the places I have picked out are worth my time or if there are any I shouldn’t even worry about.

Would love to see some old pics if you have them!

Congratulations to your cousins and you can pretty much throw a rock in any direction and hit a deer. Just know where you are hunting and your unit boundaries.

Yeah passing on the 170 inch bucks will be your hardest part if the ruts as normal. New bucks will show up daily. Funnest deer hunt I’ve been on. My guy couldn’t lay off the 170’s

My two cousins both ended up with 4 points. After only two days of being on this hunt with them I realized the potential for a giant, but they were both super excited for these bucks as it was a first deer for both of them.
