Couldn't make it to my son's opening weekend. Left early this morning and got to the area at 9. Looked over a LOT of bucks. Probably 75 or more. Biggest was around 75 inches. I had told Cade he could shoot whatever he wanted and he wanted this one. Antelope are about as much fun as a guy can have, in my opinion. On a side note, I about hit one of the biggest bucks I have ever seen on my way out.

The buck was a muley. I was rolling along all dirty eyed at around 10 at night and all of a sudden there he was. Just a big typical with a bunch of extras.

Cade got lucky in the random draw. Realistically could be an old man before he draws again. I'm old enough to recognize how special it was. He's more in the moment. Those areas are so special.

I will reword question. Was it one of the red Desert units? I have seen several good bucks from other units and curious how things are going in the Red Desert units . Decent quantities of animals, etc.

I'm not super tight lipped about where I hunt, when it's a hard to draw tag, but some people are and i try to respect that. Obviously they are well known. We hunted in the Ferris area. When I think about antelope I think about this area. It's a nine point regular draw. It has consistently had almost a one point a year creep for the last five years.

Fair enough. With all the tag cuts I wasn't sure I would draw with 14 points but I did.

Congrats on a great memory. Six years ago my oldest son took his best goat in Wyoming! Awesome memories looking at the mount!
