Looking for opinions. About the best buck I’ve found so far. Central Idaho unit, not a huge buck unit but it’s possible I suppose. You guys that hunt these all the time, what class this guy in? I think it’s maybe 14” tall?

Yeah I'd put him around 12-14". Pretty weak cutters and his mass doesn't seem super impressive. Not a terrible buck though.

Not sure about your season dates, time constraints, or what kind of buck you would be happy with JPickett but if you have the time I would keep looking.

Like you said, crappy picture but he doesn’t look very big to me as MountainSqwabler pointed out. From what I can see 12“ to 13” tall and under 70”…

Horniac

season doesn't open till the end of the month and goes nearly through October so i got time. ton of pronghorn and lots of bucks but nothing big, like i said he's the nicest so far. and maybe the nicest ill find but im going to take my time. hope a wow factor one turns up. really i was wanting to see how close you guys thought i was on the height. im no pronghorn hunter so im trying to get good at field judging them.

I would think 13.25" max and about 68-72.

You can do better, and have the time. After it gets colder and deer and elk hunting seasons open, there will be a lot more lopes pushed off the hilltops and back country to look at. I think the last two weeks are always the best for bigger bucks!

thanks guys. trying to stay realistic for the tag. this is Idaho, i spend a lot of time on the winter range and see lots of lopes, only a few i can recall where i said "theirs a big buck" and not in this unit. this is the first rifle tag I've had for them though and want to make the most of it. anyone with a 44 deer tag wanting to trade info let me know. i see big mule deer ill pass it along

I agree he's not very big, as far as antelope go. The antelope rut starts to crank up toward the end of September and that's my favorite time to hunt them. Sometimes, that's also the best time to catch a big reclusive buck, coming to chase the ladies.

I’ve been looking, trust me. That’s the kinda bucks Ive been seeing. Seasons a month long. I won’t be looking to tag out early. I was supposed to leave for an elk hunt two days ago but came down with a nasty bug so this will be the first elk season I’ve missed I who knows how long. Going to put that time into this pronghorn hunt instead
