Who’s hunting this weekend and what’s your tactic, spot and stalk, ground blind/tree stand, or other?

Headed scouting tonight and to check cameras. Hoping for something good. It’s been about a month since my son and I checked cameras.

Heading up Friday. Now that I'm retired I'm planning to spend opening week up in the woods. Was thinking about a blind, but I think spot and stalk will be the preferred method. Too damn hot to be in a blind for hours. Good luck!

Damn season snuck up fast. Maybe get out in a couple weeks. Spot and stalk alway worked out for me.

Too Hot! They are pretty easy to stalk right now, as early as it is. I see good bucks everyday at the ranch but nothing like you might have a chance at if they rut!! We will see ,good luck. Not a big velvet guy.

SPI is closed for sure. You can drive USFS roads that lead into it, but....

Yes, I went...it was 102 is Parkfield.....saw 3 JR type forkies....nothing good.... 2 dozen pigs and a dozen turkeys

Yup same here it was hot!!!!, my boys friend got a 3x2 with us but only like 15 inches not a horrible A zone buck for a first buck. Not much action tho 15 deer total 3 bucks. Going to be even hotter this week, going to be a few weeks now for sure till things change some.
