This was a few years back. Was able to harvest this great eland bull at 12 yards. This picture at sunset was the exact picture I had envisioned before our African adventure. While this is not a true "once in a lifetime" tag. It will probably be a once in a lifetime hunt for me. see the video below.

I was fortunate enough to pull the best tag in the state last year. Drew the sportsmans tag and spent 50+ days scouting/hunting for a ram. Incredible year!!!

BigJohnt is correct. It is a desert sheep from the Zion unit back when the unit was great. Unfortunately that herd had a bad disease event and lost a large percentage of sheep. I was fortunate enough to hunt in the hay day.

Thanks they all were and adventure I have a real love for hunting pronghorns and taken quite a few really nice ones this being my best a NM buck but as some know the infinite wisdom of New Mexico game and fish they are allowing landowner sell unlimited private property tags...it is by far the worst game management move ever and friends down there say you clearly already have seen the negative results after a few years. So still trying to draw again but we will put it in the once in a lifetime file as I think NM is going to tank
