I never got around to sharing my hunts from 2021 so here you go.
First is my 11 year old boy. He is one lucky (maybe spoiled) kid. He has had three tags in his life and tagged out on the first day of hunting on all three. On top of that they have all been decent animals. last year was a 6x7 bull and 4x5 buck.
This year he was pumped to take this buck.
For me, my main hunt was a late season backpack buck and bull hunt in Idaho. I ended up hunting this one alone. I had 9 days and was lucky to harvest not only a good buck but also a bull. This was the first time I have taken a buck and a bull in one hunt by myself. There were a lot of miles logged getting these off the mountain, but after this hunt in particular I really felt like I had accomplished something. The buck was about 7 miles in and the bull ended up being about 5 miles.
