Anyone have any recommendations on a good Sheep guide for unit 068? A friend drew a tag this year.
Congratulations looking forward to seeing you post your hunt on here! I applied for the same unit. After 26 years of applying, I finally drew a Non Resident, unit 212, Desert Sheep!
Is there anyone that could recommend a Really good outfitter or Guide for This Unit?
Thanks,
KevinP
Area 7 is a FUN deer hunt! Enjoy!-----SSArea 7 archery deer tag for me
Awesome to hear. Haven't ever set foot in that area! Just trying to decide if I'm going to head into the wilderness or hang out on the outside.Area 7 is a FUN deer hunt! Enjoy!-----SS
If someone turns in their tags it goes in order of alternates to re give to people. Still a bunch of archery tags for 2nd drawNo tags..but I’m an “alternate” for deer and antelope? No idea how that works
Gary and Keith from Nevada High Ridge OutfittersAnyone have any recommendations on a good Sheep guide for unit 068? A friend drew a tag this year.
Great Nv elk unit group, and even better to have Smokepole Hunt.Bulls will be bugeling, once in a lifetime hunt. Congrats ... Bruce & SilverGrandI got lucky and drew the only NR tag for the muzzleloader bull hunt in 111-115! Excited is an understatement!
180? Best I know of is 172, which is a great ram.Cary Jellison, G&J outdoors. Killed a 180 ram in 068 several years ago. Lots of prescouting.
Wyoming
too many people
not enough antelope
Must be thinking 268 I’m guessing.180? Best I know of is 172, which is a great ram.
There were years a 130-140 was a top ram
never happened....but I would hire them and request Joe M to guideCary Jellison, G&J outdoors. Killed a 180 ram in 068 several years ago. Lots of prescouting.

Awesome rams in this unit (268). Looks like it's going to take me 35-40 points to draw it but that's all we put in for anymore. As much as I appreciate our desert rams-they still don't have the same appeal to me as Muley's or pissed off, loud, aggressive bull elk. Congrats 2 the tag holder for a desert ram in any unit!!treeagain.....your right, thanks for correction. I am old and misread unit. The 180 ram was killed in 268.
and R is for Redneck
Hey Hammit, congrats on that tag as it will be a fun hunt. One of our daughters drew the early rifle bull tag and we know this unit really well. If you are a NR and don't have much or any experience in this unit then you might want to contact Bruce from azbiggame-who responded to your post. He guides and pretty sure he killed a dandy in there the last year or the year before. I don't know Bruce but everything I have heard is-Good.I got lucky and drew the only NR tag for the muzzleloader bull hunt in 111-115! Excited is an understatement!
Great draw, I had a archery tag there in 2020. Got some great information from some guys on here. Zim was one of them. Scrape together as much time as you can and be patient. It’ll be quite an experience for you!!! PM me if you’d like. Congratulations!I got lucky and drew the only NR tag for the muzzleloader bull hunt in 111-115! Excited is an understatement!
Thanks for your donation to wildlife. Pray for rain. After 20 years of applying I still haven't drawn anything in Nevada. NOTHING! EVER!!!
I drew also ?Finally got my 6/7 antelope tag with 7 points! All it took was me moving away from Elko and becoming a NR. Ha! Bet my odds were a lot better last year with 6 points, but I'm not complaining.
This is the Nevada sub forum, not California!Dry Creek Outfitters. They are the "A" team. pc
That would be me. 262-266.I wanna know who got my one-horned ram tag?!
Nevada 241-245 Mule Deer rifle.Anyone have any luck?!
Anyone have any luck?!
Right! I’m a resident, It took me waiting eight years to draw this tag. The lucky part; Greg Krough from Mogollon Rim Outfitters had an opening in his schedule and will be my guide for this hunt You cant go no better…
I know I am late on this, but I drew a COW tag for 131, 132, and South 108.Anyone have any luck?!
What season?I know I am late on this, but I drew a COW tag for 131, 132, and South 108.
Always a good muzzie cow elk hunt, that produces great table fare. For success experience and or help a must. Good Luck ... Bruce & SilverGrandSeptember 25-October 4.
I guess I was a couple minutes late. I have been keeping an eye on the list while I am at home. Bummer!!Someone just drew a unit 13 muzzleloader deer tag because I just turned mine in!
If he just returned it when he posted, good chance it didn't come up. It is random. They don't immediately come up when returned. Anytime within 24 hours of being returned they will show up.I guess I was a couple minutes late. I have been keeping an eye on the list while I am at home. Bummer!!
Not sure I'd want to burn my 9 points on a ML tag. Time to do a bit of research. If he just returned it when he posted, good chance it didn't come up. It is random. They don't immediately come up when returned. Anytime within 24 hours of being returned they will show up.
I definitely wouldn't burn it on area 13. Not sure where you are located exactly, but if something like area 22/23/11/24 came up sure but definitely not area 13 right now. It is really beat down. Not sure I'd want to burn my 9 points on a ML tag. Time to do a bit of research.
It's close to home (9-10 hour drive) but not sure if it would be worth it with only a month to prepare. Only 2 tags given out to NR so either good area or low deer densities.I definitely wouldn't burn it on area 13. Not the area it used to be. I've been there twice recently and have a lot of friends who hunt it. Low numbers and lots of smaller bucks. Not a great success rate. ML probably a bit better than ALW but still, I wouldn't waste points on it.It's close to home (9-10 hour drive) but not sure if it would be worth it with only a month to prepare.
